The Director of Finance & Accounting will lead Rhino's Finance and Accounting organization, spanning corporate finance, FP&A, strategic finance, accounting, tax, and treasury. This role combines strategic financial leadership with hands-on ownership of accounting operations and controllership.
Strategic & Corporate Finance responsibilities include: leading corporate finance, FP&A, and strategic finance functions; partnering with leadership and the Board on strategic initiatives, budgeting, forecasting, and operational modeling; driving capital planning and equity/debt transactions; supporting M&A efforts; building financial plans aligned with growth; providing financial and operational metrics to investors, the Board, employees, and management; preparing monthly financial reports including P&L, cash flow, and actuals vs. budget; and collaborating with cross-functional teams on risk metrics, partnership deals, and ROI analysis.
Accounting & Controllership responsibilities include: owning the tax function and treasury-related items; overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes ensuring US GAAP compliance; maintaining and documenting accounting policies and procedures; managing the external auditor relationship and annual audit process; ensuring effective accounting and internal controls; and collaborating with business stakeholders to operationalize accounting processes.
Team Leadership responsibilities include: recruiting, directing, and organizing a high-performing Finance & Accounting team; ensuring reports receive appropriate training, career development, and performance management; and supporting executive leadership and the Board on special projects.
