Section is building AI-powered workforce solutions through software (Section HQ and Section Coach) that helps employees become proficient with AI tools and measures ROI. The company is seeking a Director of Enterprise Workshops to own and operate the workshop business end-to-end. This is a player-coach role combining operational leadership with hands-on delivery. You will run the workshop business as a standalone unit, managing capacity, scheduling, instructor staffing, and delivery operations with support from a dedicated program manager. You'll define and enforce quality standards across all sessions, build repeatable systems for excellence (presenter prep, content standards, post-session debriefs), and respond quickly when sessions underperform. Key responsibilities include building and managing the instructor bench—developing core instructors, recruiting and vetting new talent, matching presenters to appropriate audiences, and making tough calls on performance. You'll own the workshop content library, deciding what's taught, how it's structured, and ensuring it stays current in a rapidly evolving AI landscape. This includes building new session formats from scratch, ranging from executive strategy workshops to technical hands-on builds using tools like Claude and Claude Code. You'll personally design and deliver workshops, particularly high-stakes sessions with C-suite audiences and flagship client moments. You'll also partner with sales and account teams to scope and shape workshop engagements that align with client needs. Success means consistent quality across all sessions and instructors, a deeper and more self-sufficient instructor bench, workshop content that stays ahead of market trends, and a workshop business that runs independently day-to-day. You bring proven ability to command rooms of senior executives (CEOs, CFOs, VPs), genuine technical depth with AI tools (daily use of frontier models, ability to build live demos and agents, teaching practitioners in tools like Claude Code), and experience managing people and distributed talent benches while maintaining high standards. You're a systems builder who fixes processes rather than heroically patching problems, and you communicate clearly and directly without jargon.
