Salary: USD 200,000 - 220,000 / annual

KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings, is seeking a Director of Cybersecurity to lead a global team of security engineers. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring 3 days per week in the Concord, MA office. You will partner with the CISO and senior leadership to define and execute the organization's cybersecurity strategy, roadmap, and operating model. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring a global team across incident response, vulnerability management, identity and access management, and application security. You'll own day-to-day security operations including threat detection and response, vulnerability management, and endpoint security. Key responsibilities: - Define and execute cybersecurity strategy aligned with business priorities - Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of security engineers across multiple disciplines - Own threat detection, response, vulnerability management, and endpoint security operations - Partner with engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to embed security into systems - Manage vendor relationships and contribute to security budget planning - Support hiring, onboarding, and career development of team members - Champion AI and automation to improve security operations - Evaluate emerging threats and technologies, including AI security implications Required qualifications: - 10+ years progressive cybersecurity experience with significant people-leadership experience - Demonstrated success building or maturing security programs in complex, technology-driven environments - Strong experience across multiple security domains (security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, IAM, cloud security, application security, security architecture) - Strong technical skills in endpoint and server operating systems (especially Linux), networking, firewalls, and Kubernetes - General understanding of security and compliance frameworks (NIST CSF, CIS, SOC 2, PCI-DSS) - Excellent communication skills explaining technical risk to executives and business partners - Experience developing security metrics and reporting to senior leadership - Ability to thrive in hybrid model with 3 days/week office attendance - Curiosity about emerging technologies and AI/automation in security Benefits include competitive base salary ($200K-$220K plus annual bonus and RSU grants), comprehensive health and retirement plans, generous PTO, paid parental leave, mental health support (therapy and meditation apps), development dollars, leadership training, and travel discounts.
