Albedo is building the infrastructure to enable satellite missions in Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO), below 300 km. As the Director of Communications, you will be Albedo's first dedicated communications and marketing hire, building the function from the ground up and owning the company's external presence and brand strategy.
You will lead Albedo's social media strategy and determine where and how the company and its leaders show up externally, including press relationships, conferences, panels, and speaking opportunities. You'll develop and own the content strategy and editorial calendar, writing original content, social posts, thought pieces, and executive commentary that establishes Albedo and VLEO as category leaders.
Key responsibilities include preparing executives for media appearances and managing the company's reputation proactively. You'll translate contracts, technical milestones, and partnerships into high-impact announcements and campaigns by working across engineering, business development, and government relations teams. You'll create and direct visual and video assets that translate complex technical subject matter into compelling narratives for both industry insiders and broader audiences.
You will plan and execute Albedo's presence at industry events, manage sponsorships and booths, and develop creative formats for customer engagements. You'll build and manage a network of outside creative partners, agencies, and contractors to extend your capacity across content, design, video, and events.
Albedo operates with a first-principles approach, moving with speed and using AI to create leverage across disciplines. The company works in-person at its Broomfield, CO headquarters to maximize team productivity. You'll join a team of approximately 100 employees working on satellite hardware, production scaling, flight and ground software, and missions supporting national security.
