Re:Build Battery Solutions (RBBS), a division focused on battery pack design, development, and manufacturing for motive and stationary energy storage, is seeking a Director of Business Development & Sales to lead revenue growth and market expansion.
In this role, you will own the full sales lifecycle: customer retention, prospecting, closing new accounts, competitive analysis, and account management. You'll develop and execute a robust sales pipeline to expand the customer portfolio and drive near-term revenue. Collaboration is key—you'll work closely with marketing, product, and engineering teams to develop strategic initiatives, enhance brand visibility, create compelling product materials, and strengthen competitive positioning.
Key responsibilities include identifying and engaging new strategic business opportunities, building strong relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders, conducting comprehensive market research to identify trends and forecast demand, and presenting sales reports and performance metrics to senior leadership. You'll ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations throughout.
You bring a BS in Engineering or related technical field (MS preferred), minimum 10 years of commercial experience with at least 5 years in customer-facing business development, ideally in energy storage. Deep expertise in battery manufacturing and market dynamics is essential. You've consistently surpassed sales targets and driven substantial revenue growth. You possess exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with proven strategic thinking and tactical execution ability. Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools is required. Willingness to travel as needed. Export control requirement: must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee.
