Taxfix is seeking a Director of Brand to establish and own brand strategy at the group level across its brands (Taxfix and Steuerbot) operating in Germany, Spain, and the UK. This is a hands-on leadership role, not a pure strategy position—you will personally drive the execution of brand initiatives with a small team supporting you. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain brand strategy and positioning for the group, ensuring alignment across product, marketing, and operations as the market and business evolve - Embed brand into product experience through partnership with product and product marketing teams, ensuring consistency in onboarding, in-product moments, and lifecycle messaging - Contribute brand perspective to product vision and roadmap strategy conversations - Develop and execute ATL (above-the-line) strategy in collaboration with the in-house creative studio - Run end-to-end ATL campaigns autonomously from brief through concept, production, media planning, and measurement - Conduct brand research independently to ground positioning and creative decisions in customer and market data - Ensure brand accountability across all teams touching the customer, holding them to brand values, positioning, and visual identity - Build and maintain brand systems (guidelines, context, examples) that enable the broader organization and AI agents to operate on-brand You will work closely with product and marketing teams as a peer, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. The role requires high agency, strong communication across diverse groups, and the ability to influence direction while remaining flexible and data-informed. About Taxfix: Founded in 2016, Taxfix Group has facilitated over €3.5 billion in tax refunds for customers across Germany, Spain, and the UK. The company employs over 400 professionals including tax experts, developers, and IT security specialists, united by a mission to make tax filing accessible and confidence-building for millions. Requirements: - 5+ years of hands-on brand experience; you have personally made and run projects, not just briefed others - Strong, current understanding of the market and category with a track record of translating insights into decisions through peer partnerships with product and marketing - Native or fully fluent German; comfortable working in English - Self-directed and built for small teams; you do a large share of the work yourself rather than only directing - Direct and candid communication style with strong opinions loosely held; you reason through decisions and adapt when evidence warrants - Interest in service design and how people and software combine to create delightful user experiences - Sharp creative judgment and comfort using AI across your workflow (research, drafting, production) while maintaining craft and taste as the driver, not the tool - Balance of rigor (data, measurement) with instinct, customer empathy, and creative taste, ideally proven in environments where you had to demonstrate brand's value to product and performance teams
