onsemi (Nasdaq: ON) is seeking an experienced Director to lead the IGBT Division Applications team. This role is central to driving innovation in power electronics, with a focus on automotive and industrial end-markets including vehicle electrification, sustainable energy grids, industrial automation, and 5G infrastructure.
You will lead a team responsible for developing and positioning state-of-the-art power discrete and power module solutions. Key responsibilities include:
• Lead and build the IGBT Division Applications team, fostering a high-performance culture
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and innovation
• Engage directly with customers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Provide technical support to customers during design phases and troubleshoot complex issues
• Support customers on IGBT applications and position onsemi as a leader in power electronics
• Oversee the development and release of new power products
• Drive marketplace success and shape the future of power electronics solutions

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in power electronics or related field
• Proven experience in power discrete and module applications
• Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to build and motivate teams
• Power management knowledge beyond single-transistor level
• Highly experienced with lab equipment used in high-voltage power products
• Technical expertise in IGBT applications and power semiconductor solutions
PREFERRED:
• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Experience with testing for power discretes and modules
• Familiarity with reliability standards for power semiconductors
• Background in power semiconductor process technology
