The Nuclear Company is a Series A AI-enabled startup pioneering fleet-scale nuclear reactor development through a design-once, build-many model. The Director of Accounting, Services owns financial integrity and controllership for the Nuclear Services segment as the company scales organically and through acquisitions.
Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, this role ensures a clean line of accounting policy, control, and reporting authority. Key responsibilities include month-end close, consolidation handoffs, and harmonization of accounting policies and procedures across all segment entities and businesses. The Director works closely with the Head of Finance, Services on financial reporting handoffs and coordinates with Corporate Controllership and external auditors to maintain audit readiness and progress toward SOX/ICFR compliance.
This is a build-it-as-we-scale controllership role that simultaneously improves and scales internal accounting capabilities while integrating new acquisitions. The successful candidate will establish robust accounting frameworks, implement consistent financial controls, and support the company's rapid growth trajectory in the nuclear energy sector.
