Infleqtion is a global quantum technology company recently transitioned to a publicly traded company (NYSE: INFQ). The Director of Accounting Operations will lead the company's day-to-day accounting operations, reporting to the Global Corporate Controller.
This role manages the Accounting Operations team, including Payroll, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger staff. Key responsibilities span multiple critical areas:
General Ledger & Close: Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Ensure accurate journal entry preparation, review, and recording. Maintain general ledger integrity and chart of accounts. Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure U.S. GAAP compliance. Support external audits and internal control testing.
Payroll Operations: Oversee domestic payroll processing, tax withholdings, and regulatory reporting. Review payroll reconciliations and coordinate with HR on compensation, benefits, equity compensation, and employee changes. Ensure federal, state, and local regulatory compliance.
Accounts Payable: Direct end-to-end AP functions including vendor invoice processing, payment timing, and vendor relationship management. Oversee AP automation and workflow improvements while maintaining strong controls over approvals and disbursements.
Employee Expense Reports: Manage travel and expense reimbursement programs, ensure policy compliance, monitor trends, and review corporate card reconciliations.
Sales & Use Tax: Oversee tax compliance across applicable jurisdictions, prepare and file tax returns, coordinate with external advisors, and monitor nexus requirements.
Cash & Treasury Accounting: Oversee daily cash accounting, review bank reconciliations, ensure timely recording of receipts and disbursements, and partner on cash forecasting.
Account Reconciliations: Establish reconciliation standards, ensure timely completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and resolve aged items.
Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain strong internal control environment and support SOX compliance including documentation, testing, and remediation.
