Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Director of Mission Insights for Maritime operations within its Global Defense team. This role bridges international allied naval customers and Anduril's engineering and business lines, with an initial focus on supporting maritime pursuits in Japan.
You will serve as the operator voice representing partner navies, translating mission needs into credible concepts of operation and product requirements. Key responsibilities include:
• Develop authoritative reference missions, operational vignettes, tactics, techniques, and procedures tailored to partner-nation maritime forces across theaters (e.g., Indo-Pacific long-range strike, Baltic grey-zone operations, Strait of Hormuz security).
• Act as the direct conduit between allied maritime operators and Anduril's engineering and product teams, ensuring real-world operational constraints (degraded RF/bandwidth, sea-state realities, sovereign sensor networks) are embedded in product design and R&D pipelines.
• Provide threat-informed operational analysis on concepts of employment, rigorously evaluating how Anduril hardware and software perform in allied scenarios versus competitor or legacy architectures.
• Arm regional Business Development leads with high-impact sales enablement tools, including localized wargaming outcomes, cost-exchange analyses, and mission architectures for foreign defense leaders.
• Define mission frameworks enabling allied sovereign maritime systems to interoperate with US JADC2 networks, FVEY, and NATO tactical standards.
• Identify capability gaps in allied naval forces to pitch, shape, and seed requirements for international co-development projects or net-new production lines.
• Serve as a credible operational lead in front of international military leaders, ministries of defense, and internal stakeholders during capture shaping and proposal stages.
Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally is required.
