Morning Consult is a global decision intelligence company that pairs proprietary high-frequency data with applied artificial intelligence to inform decisions on what people think and how they will act.
You will own the marketing organization's highest-priority cross-functional initiatives end-to-end—from problem definition through implementation, adoption, and outcome measurement. This role is built for someone who thrives in ambiguity, can move fluidly between strategic planning and hands-on execution, and takes full accountability for shipping results.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own marketing's most consequential cross-functional projects (scoped with the Chief Growth Officer), which are too multidisciplinary to sit in a single function
- Define problems, build plans, convene cross-functional teams, drive decisions, and own whether initiatives shipped and moved the metrics they were designed to move
- Own communication and reporting of overall growth function performance to executives and cross-functional leaders
- Structure undefined, messy problems into clear plans, workstreams, timelines, and owners
- Translate marketing leadership's strategic priorities into concrete operating plans, targets, and scorecards; track progress over time
- Build and run the operating rhythm for the marketing organization—planning cycles, leadership reviews, decision forums
- Lead marketing's role in company-level strategic efforts, including go-to-market for new AI and agentic product capabilities
- Partner with functional leads to evaluate and strengthen team capabilities
- Build materials and narratives for executive-level conversations
- Serve as trusted thought partner to marketing leadership on prioritization, resourcing, and organizational design
- Build trust and alignment across Sales, Product, RevOps, and Finance
- Move fluidly between strategy and hands-on execution based on business need
This is not a conventional product marketing, growth, or operations role. You'll flex across functions to support what the business needs most in a given quarter. One quarter might involve rebuilding how inbound leads flow from marketing to sales; another might mean helping take new AI capabilities to market or translating strategic priorities into concrete plans and scorecards.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience spanning product marketing, growth, or business/marketing operations and strategy, ideally at a high-growth SaaS, data, or technology company
- Track record of owning large-scale, cross-functional transformation projects from ambiguity through execution
- Comfortable operating without a fixed functional lane; genuinely energized by moving between strategy, analytics, and hands-on execution as priorities shift
- Systems thinker who can diagnose broken or informal processes and redesign them to scale
- Strong judgment operating with significant autonomy; exercises wide latitude in determining the right approach to critical, undefined assignments
- Experience operating as a close, trusted partner to a senior leader on strategic initiatives
- Experience building or running planning cycles, operating cadences, or scorecards for a leadership team; comfort acting as proxy for senior leadership in certain settings
- Strong analytical fluency and comfort getting into data to inform recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to flex between detailed execution and clear, executive-level narrative
- Genuine curiosity about applying AI to marketing and operations, with interest in evaluating and rolling out new tools and agentic capabilities
- Depth in B2B product marketing, data or licensing go-to-market, or enterprise growth is a strong plus
Note: The company welcomes diverse and non-traditional backgrounds and encourages applications even if you don't meet every qualification. You will learn and grow throughout your time at Morning Consult.
