In this role, you will define and execute Braze's lifecycle marketing strategy, building and developing a high-performing team while creating scalable programs that drive customer adoption, engagement, retention, and expansion. You'll own the full lifecycle journey—from prospect nurturing through customer onboarding, product activation, and expansion—with a focus on translating product innovation (particularly AI capabilities) into measurable customer value.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining lifecycle marketing strategy and roadmap that connects engagement to business outcomes
- Building, hiring, and developing a high-performing Lifecycle Marketing team with clear ownership and operating rhythms
- Owning and optimizing lifecycle programs spanning prospect nurturing, onboarding, activation, engagement, and expansion
- Developing product adoption strategies that help customers discover and realize value from Braze's evolving portfolio, with emphasis on AI capabilities
- Partnering with Product, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Revenue teams to identify adoption barriers and develop targeted programs
- Leading audience segmentation, personalization strategies, and journey orchestration using behavioral, account-level, and product usage data
- Establishing comprehensive measurement frameworks connecting program performance to prospect conversion, pipeline contribution, product adoption, retention, and expansion
- Building a culture of experimentation and continuous optimization with rigorous testing roadmaps
- Championing AI and emerging technologies within lifecycle marketing to improve personalization and operational efficiency
- Collaborating with Integrated Campaigns, Regional Marketing, and Demand Generation teams on prospect nurture strategies
- Establishing scalable processes and cross-functional ways of working
You are a strategic, data-driven marketing leader who understands how to translate product innovation into customer value and connect engagement to retention and expansion outcomes. You thrive on both building teams and building programs, bringing strong points of view on lifecycle marketing while remaining curious and collaborative.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of experience in Lifecycle Marketing, Customer Marketing, CRM Marketing, Growth Marketing, or related fields, including experience building and leading high-performing teams
- Proven track record developing lifecycle strategies and programs that drive measurable business outcomes across both prospect and customer audiences, ideally within a global B2B SaaS organization
- Strong understanding of SaaS customer journeys (onboarding, activation, product adoption, engagement, retention, expansion) with experience translating product capabilities into customer value
- Experience developing product adoption and engagement programs in partnership with Product, Product Marketing, and Customer Success teams; familiarity with AI-powered products and evolving SaaS portfolios highly desirable
- Deep expertise in audience segmentation, personalization, journey orchestration, experimentation, and lifecycle analytics with ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies
- Experience with customer engagement and marketing automation platforms (Braze, Marketo, or similar) and strong understanding of email, in-product messaging, SMS, and other lifecycle channels
- Demonstrated ability to establish measurement frameworks, define meaningful KPIs, and communicate lifecycle marketing's contribution to pipeline, customer value, retention, and business growth
- Strong executive communication skills with ability to articulate strategy, influence senior stakeholders, and bring cross-functional teams together
- Practical experience leveraging AI-powered marketing tools and automation to improve personalization, experimentation, operational efficiency, and team productivity
