Censys is seeking a Director of IT & Business Enablement to own the systems, tools, and technology experience that power every team across the organization. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the internal technology stack—from endpoint provisioning and SaaS tooling to the adoption, integration, and optimization of AI across all company systems.
As Director, you will build and lead the IT team, ensuring they support the evolving needs of a global workforce. You'll own company technology end-to-end: new hire equipment, IT onboarding, employee productivity tools, endpoint lifecycle management (provisioning, deployment, patching, retirement), and identity systems that enable secure access to corporate infrastructure.
A key part of your mandate is enabling secure AI adoption across the company. You'll identify where AI can improve internal tools and workflows, lead integration of AI capabilities into systems, and continuously optimize existing AI tooling for effectiveness and ROI.
You'll evaluate and select the internal tooling and software stack, manage software and hardware budgets in partnership with finance, and own vendor relationships. You'll also build and maintain documentation for IT processes and deliver internal training to drive adoption.
This role requires someone who understands that availability and usability are often in tension, and who can balance both without slowing the business down. You'll be the person every employee turns to for equipment and tooling needs, and the person finance turns to for software utilization and budget decisions.
Censys delivers real-time Internet intelligence and actionable threat insights to global governments, over 50% of the Fortune 500, and leading threat intelligence providers worldwide.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of experience in IT management, systems administration, or technology operations, including 5+ years leading a team
- Proven experience owning endpoint lifecycle management (provisioning, deployment, retirement) at scale, ideally for a fully or hybrid-remote workforce
- Hands-on experience managing a modern SaaS tooling stack (identity/access management, MDM, collaboration tools, etc.) and making build-vs-buy / consolidate-vs-expand decisions
- Demonstrated experience integrating AI tools into business workflows (not just using AI tools personally, but leading adoption across a team or company—e.g., rolling out AI-powered support tools, automating workflows with AI, evaluating AI vendor tooling)
- Experience managing software/hardware budgets and vendor relationships, with the ability to translate technical decisions into cost and ROI terms for finance and leadership
- Strong track record of building documentation, processes, and support systems from scratch
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills, and comfortable being the technical translator between engineering, finance, and non-technical employees
