Rent the Runway is seeking a Director of HR Business Partner Fulfillment Operations to lead all people-related functions across its two Dream Fulfillment Centers in Secaucus, NJ and Arlington, TX. This is a strategic HR leadership role reporting to senior People leadership, responsible for overseeing HR systems, processes, and a team of HRBPs and HR administrators across the fulfillment network.
Key responsibilities include: operationalizing HR systems and processes (performance management, employee relations, workforce planning, compensation, benefits, diversity initiatives); managing and developing a team of HRBPs, coordinators, and administrators; leading end-to-end employee lifecycle and engagement across both centers; overseeing complex employee relations issues in partnership with legal and business teams; serving as a thought partner on labor planning, policies, compensation, safety, legal, and compliance; partnering with Talent Acquisition on recruitment and retention; advising leaders on FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, OSHA, and safety compliance; collaborating on performance management enhancements; developing engagement action plans based on survey results; and maintaining deep knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law to reduce legal risk.
The role requires managing large non-exempt employee populations (hundreds of employees) across dispersed physical and remote locations. You will be based in Secaucus with regular travel to Arlington, TX and periodic visits to Brooklyn, NY.
Required qualifications: BA/BS degree with 8+ years of HR management experience including team leadership; HR leadership in center of excellence models supporting large operations, logistics, or supply chain environments; experience managing sizeable non-exempt populations; ability to manage dispersed teams; strong analytical skills with proficiency in HR Analytics, Workday, Excel, and Google Suite; proven track record launching HR policies and building high-performing teams; deep knowledge of employment law; sound judgment and ability to navigate ambiguity; strong interpersonal and communication skills; high integrity and passion for workplace culture; ability to thrive in fast-paced, results-driven environments. Spanish fluency is a plus.
