Coursera (recently merged with Udemy) is seeking a Director of FP&A Systems and Transformation to lead the strategic modernization of the financial planning and analysis function across a complex, multi-segment technology organization. The role bridges technical automation and business strategy, ensuring system architecture reflects the unique drivers of Consumer, Enterprise, Content, Marketing, and Product divisions.
You will inherit a dual-system landscape (IBM Planning Analytics and Workday Adaptive Planning) and lead the evaluation, testing, and selection of a single enterprise architecture. This is a high-impact transformation role requiring both strategic vision and hands-on execution.
Key responsibilities include: leading the strategic roadmap for FP&A digital transformation; serving as "the translator" between technical teams and business stakeholders; consolidating systems while maintaining zero disruption to close cycles; managing and upskilling two direct reports (Systems Administrator and Analytics Specialist); driving a cultural shift from manual spreadsheets to automated, proactive financial analysis; partnering with decentralized FP&A teams across all business segments to build tailored financial modeling solutions; directing external implementation consultants and managing vendor relationships; automating data pipelines and reporting to reduce close and forecast cycle times; and establishing governance, access controls, and training programs to drive platform adoption.
You will leverage automated reporting and financial data to surface actionable insights that drive long-term corporate strategy, optimize capital allocation, and maximize ROI across major investment areas. Success requires balancing immediate reporting demands with major project milestones during the system transition.
