Salary: USD 147,200 - 216,000 / annual
Dataminr is seeking a Director of FP&A to lead financial planning and analysis for the go-to-market organization. This is a hybrid role based in New York (2-3 days per week in office) reporting to the CFO.
You will own the strategic annual operating plan, building financial models that capture sales capacity, new markets, pricing moves, and M&A scenarios. Key responsibilities include leading annual planning and forecasting for GTM, pressure-testing ROI, and translating strategy into executable resource plans. You'll partner closely with Sales and Marketing leadership on monthly budget reviews, identifying investment opportunities and improvement areas.
Ownership extends to end-to-end sales reporting in partnership with Revenue Operations, delivering clear narratives behind the numbers. You'll work alongside the executive team on board materials, investor presentations, and scenario planning. The role also includes supporting acquisition integration planning and attending banker/external stakeholder meetings to track competitive and market landscape trends.

The company pioneered real-time event detection before the recent generative AI boom, and now operates with ReGenAI (regenerative AI), Agentic AI (Intel Agents), and multimodal AI capabilities analyzing data across 150+ languages.
You should have 7-10 years of FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, or consulting experience, ideally embedded in a GTM organization. SaaS financial fluency is essential (financial statements, accruals, COGs, CAC, LTV, Magic Number). Hands-on experience with financial tools like Pigment and exceptional Excel skills are required, along with AI fluency. You thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments, have high standards for detail and excellence, and can translate dense analysis into clear executive narratives.
