The Director of FP&A is a strategic finance leader responsible for shaping Andela's financial planning, investment decisions, and business strategy as the company scales. This role is a deeply embedded partner to the executive team, blending analytical rigor, business judgment, and clear storytelling to navigate complexity and tradeoffs with confidence.
Key responsibilities include owning the corporate financial model end-to-end (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and scenario planning); leading all planning cycles (annual operating plan, monthly rolling forecasts, long-range planning); conducting monthly business reviews to diagnose financial health; building capital allocation and investment frameworks for growth initiatives; developing unit economics and cohort analysis to identify optimization opportunities; partnering with GTM, Data, and RevOps on revenue forecasting; preparing investor-ready narratives connecting financial performance to strategy; and managing one Finance Business Partner.
The ideal candidate has 8+ years in corporate finance, FP&A, or strategic finance roles, with at least 5 years at high-growth B2B SaaS companies and 2+ years of people management experience. Required skills include advanced Excel and financial modeling, modern FP&A tools, exceptional storytelling ability, and the capacity to influence across organizational levels. The role emphasizes systems thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and a player/coach mentality—someone equally comfortable in strategic planning and operational details.
