Relativity Space is building advanced rockets (Terran R vehicle) to deliver payloads to orbit. This Director role leads the Supply Chain Finance team within the Finance & Strategy organization, which supports growth, innovation, strategic initiatives, and capital investments across the company.
You will set strategic direction for inventory financial planning, materials spend management, and manufacturing/bill of materials (BOM) cost analysis. Key responsibilities include:
• Lead and manage the Supply Chain Finance team, establishing vision and direction for the function
• Drive end-to-end improvements across finance, supply chain, and materials management, particularly around financial management of the evolving bill of materials as the vehicle design matures
• Establish frameworks for tracking and analyzing inventory movements, ensuring accuracy and alignment with MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) systems
• Oversee BOM-to-MRP comparison and reconciliation efforts, ensuring material requirements align with engineering specifications and production plans
• Direct root cause analysis to explain variances between actual manufacturing consumption rates and BOM standards, driving corrective actions
• Partner cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and finance teams to optimize material costs and supply chain efficiency
• Develop KPIs and reporting to provide strategic visibility into materials planning, inventory management, and manufacturing costs
• Support capital investment decisions and strategic planning with supply chain financial insights
