Salary: CAD 163,000 - 177,000 / annual

Altus Group is seeking a strategic Director of Employee Experience & Corporate Communications to lead global employee engagement, internal communications, and corporate reputation initiatives. This role reports to senior leadership as a trusted advisor and owns the full spectrum of employee and corporate communications strategy. Key responsibilities include developing and executing a global employee experience and internal communications strategy aligned with business objectives. You will partner with business leaders to design communication plans supporting organizational priorities, culture, and workforce transformation. The role involves leading change management communications, driving employee engagement and recognition programs, developing leadership communication cascades, and designing employee events and campaigns that foster inclusive, high-performing culture. You will measure employee sentiment and communication effectiveness to continuously improve programs. On the corporate communications side, you will develop messaging and materials for internal and external audiences, lead communications for strategic initiatives and sensitive matters, and manage reputation and crisis communications. You'll oversee sustainability, corporate citizenship, and philanthropy communications, collaborate across Investor Relations, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure aligned messaging, and develop executive communication strategies that enhance visibility among employees, customers, investors, and industry stakeholders. Operationally, you will manage communications budgets, agencies, and vendors, build scalable processes leveraging AI tools and governance frameworks, and foster cross-functional relationships with People & Culture, Legal, Marketing, and business leaders. Required qualifications include 10+ years in corporate communications, internal communications, employee experience, or related fields, preferably in technology or data-driven organizations. You must demonstrate success translating business priorities into effective communications and change management, with strong expertise in internal communications, corporate reputation management, executive communications, and organizational transformation. Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities are essential, along with proven influence with senior stakeholders, strong project management skills, and a data-driven mindset for measuring communications effectiveness. Experience with AI tools and emerging technologies is valued.
