Sweetgreen seeks a Director of Digital Off-Premise & Catering to lead the company's strategy and operations across all channels where customers order outside of physical restaurants. This role owns a complete P&L spanning three interconnected businesses: catering and B2B workplace programs, third-party marketplace channels (DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub), and the partner ecosystem (ezCater, Fooda). Reporting to Commercial Leadership, you will lead a small team and set the multi-year roadmap for scaling off-premise across Sweetgreen's restaurant footprint while being accountable for revenue, margin, and guest experience.
Key responsibilities include: owning the off-premise P&L and channel strategy with clear visibility into tradeoffs between volume and profitability; defining Sweetgreen's positioning and marketing strategy across all marketplace platforms; serving as the senior relationship owner with platform and workplace partners, negotiating commercial terms on commissions and contracts; directing catering operations at scale while partnering with Restaurant Operations and Logistics on labor models, order flow, and service standards; establishing KPIs and measurement frameworks to evaluate off-premise success, incrementality, and brand impact; co-developing acquisition and retention strategies with Marketing and Culinary; and leading a high-performing cross-functional team.
You will partner extensively across Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, Culinary, Finance, Tech, and Legal to remove friction and represent Sweetgreen as the senior voice with major digital and catering partners. The role requires a minimum of 4 days per week in-person at the Los Angeles Support Center. This is an ideal opportunity for a commercial builder who has scaled a channel or business line from early stage to meaningful scale, with demonstrated revenue growth directly attributable to your work. You should be a people leader who develops diverse teams, a strategist with data-driven instincts who can cut through ambiguity, and an executive communicator who influences senior leaders and represents the company credibly with external partners.
