Neara is building AI-powered digital twins of electricity grids to help utilities stress-test infrastructure, optimize investments, and build resilience against extreme weather. The company uses advanced machine learning and physics-enabled simulations across four continents to enable asset owners to understand risks and deploy solutions at scale.
As Director of Customer Implementation, you will lead a small team of technical contributors and own high-stakes enterprise accounts end-to-end. You are responsible for developing account strategy, ensuring value-driven delivery, and navigating complex stakeholder landscapes within utility organizations. This is a leadership role that demands both technical credibility and strategic acumen.
Key responsibilities include: developing and maintaining living account strategies aligned with long-term customer objectives; shifting focus from milestone-hitting to realizing measurable business value; mentoring and challenging technical individual contributors; mapping influence and building multi-level relationships within enterprise environments; and making decisive judgments about escalation and corrective action under pressure.
You will need proven success navigating complex, high-pressure implementations in technical environments. You should have led teams of strong technical experts, earning their respect through sharp judgment and usefulness rather than technical depth. You excel at structuring ambiguous challenges, providing actionable recommendations under pressure, and mastering new domains quickly. You are a self-starter who thrives with high autonomy and low hand-holding.
Ideal candidates include former startup operators (CEOs, COOs, Heads of Delivery), senior consultants who have led technical delivery from strategy through execution, or technical program leads who have managed cross-functional teams on large-scale implementations. The role is based in Denver with regular travel to customer sites. Onboarding includes a one-month immersion at HQ (NYC or equivalent).
