The company has scaled to $100M+ ARR and operates across Europe, North America, and APAC. You will serve as Director, Compensation, reporting directly to the VP of Rewards. This is a high-visibility role owning the day-to-day design and execution of compensation programs for a fast-scaling, globally distributed organization. Key Responsibilities: - Own and evolve compensation guidelines, pay structures, and salary ranges across all levels and geographies - Lead job architecture work including leveling, job family mapping, and career framework design in partnership with People and business leaders - Manage compensation benchmarking using market data tools (Pave, Ravio) to ensure competitive pay across all markets - Lead compensation analytics including pay equity analysis, range penetration, and executive-ready reporting - Prepare analyses and recommendations for merit cycles, promotions, and off-cycle pay adjustments - Build forecasting and planning processes for compensation spend across merit cycles, promotions, adjustments, and equity refreshes - Partner on equity program design and administration, including RSU/option strategy - Support executive compensation activities including offer packages, annual executive pay review, and equity support - Advise People Business Partners and managers on offer construction, internal equity, and pay decisions - Build scalable compensation processes and tools as headcount and global footprint grow - Manage governance frameworks for compensation decisions including exception handling, approvals, documentation, and audit readiness - Manage vendor relationships for compensation survey providers and systems, including contract negotiations - Stay current on pay transparency laws, wage and hour requirements, and data privacy obligations across operating geographies - Lead and develop a Compensation Analyst, building team capability as the company scales - Support Compensation Committee deliverables and meetings The role is based in Legora's Union Square office in New York City, designed for ambitious builders with company-provided lunch daily. Requirements: - 10+ years of progressive compensation experience, including program design and benchmarking at a growing company - Deep familiarity with compensation benchmarking platforms (Pave, Ravio, or similar) and job architecture frameworks - Experience supporting equity compensation programs (options and/or RSUs) is a strong plus - Experience supporting or leading executive compensation processes is a strong plus - Comfort operating with a builder mindset; ability to create structure in evolving environments - Strong analytical skills paired with judgment to translate data into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders - Excellent cross-functional partnership skills working with People, Finance, and business leaders - Experience managing or mentoring a compensation analyst or coordinator, with ability to grow the team - Experience managing vendor relationships including negotiations and performance management - Experience supporting fast-growing, globally distributed workforce (ideally spanning U.S., UK, EU/Nordics, and APAC)
