Recursion Pharmaceuticals seeks a Director of Clinical Pharmacology to lead clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics strategy for a portfolio of rare disease and oncology programs. You will develop clinical pharmacology strategies to accelerate product development, design clinical studies from Phase 1-3, author regulatory submissions (IBs, INDs, NDAs), and represent the company in regulatory interactions with health authorities. You'll interface with cross-functional teams including clinical development, translational modeling, preclinical, and biostatistics to ensure pharmacology considerations are integrated throughout drug development. The role involves overseeing modeling and simulation work using tools like WinNonlin, Monolix, and NONMEM to support dose selection, exposure-response, and exposure-safety analyses.
You will join the Development Sciences team within Clinical Development, which comprises clinical pharmacology, pharmacometrics, translational modeling, and clinical biomarkers. This team works in an end-to-end environment spanning both discovery and development projects, collaborating seamlessly with DMPK, Biology, Chemistry, clinical science, clinical operations, regulatory affairs, and biostatistics functions.
Required qualifications: Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacokinetics, or related discipline; M.D. with Clinical Pharmacology expertise; or Pharm.D. with Clinical Pharmacology fellowship. Minimum 5-9+ years of biotech/pharmaceutical drug development experience. Demonstrated success leading clinical pharmacology aspects of drug development, with proficiency in PK, PK-PD, and PK-safety analyses. Strong regulatory experience preparing submissions and responding to agency questions. Oncology experience preferred but not required. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, decisive, results-oriented, and skilled at driving collaboration and resolving conflicts across stakeholders.
