Perry Weather is a hyperlocal weather intelligence platform trusted by Fortune 500 companies, professional sports leagues, commercial builders, schools, and cities. The company is in its sixth year of 80%+ growth and is proactively hiring a Director of Business Operations to architect systems and processes for scale as the organization grows from 50 to 250+ people.
Reporting directly to the COO, you will own three core areas: (1) Operational systems—end-to-end ownership of major implementations (Acumatica ERP, Zendesk, Aircall, field/hardware tooling), including taking over a mid-stream ERP project and ensuring organization-wide adoption; (2) Operational metrics—building the metrics layer across the business, defining what gets measured, where it lives, and ensuring numbers drive executive decision-making; (3) Cross-functional special projects—owning high-impact, unstructured problems with no clear owner (company-wide AI adoption, customer self-install friction, support ticket reduction, international expansion).
You will also partner with functional leaders (engineering, product, hardware, field services, support, meteorology, go-to-market) on transformations they cannot execute alone, such as increasing manufacturing capacity or rebuilding intake processes. This is a hands-on builder/operator role: you configure systems, run migrations, write processes, and stay until projects are live and adopted. You'll build intake and prioritization systems to keep yourself on high-leverage work, use AI to multiply team impact, and maintain an 18-month forward perspective.
Requirements: 7+ years experience with at least 5 in management consulting (technology implementations, operations, or transformation). Strong plus: operator experience at a high-growth company actively scaling. You must have built things end-to-end (systems configured, data cleaned, migrations run, SOPs written, vendors managed), own problems without handoffs, earn credibility quickly in unfamiliar teams, be self-directed, think in systems (root causes over symptoms), and move fluidly between strategic and tactical altitudes.
