VRAI is a fast-growing, digital-first direct-to-consumer luxury jewelry brand specializing in sustainably created diamonds. The company has been recognized by Fast Company for innovation in retail design and operates globally across eight locations including Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Shanghai, Chicago, London, Madrid, and Copenhagen.
You will serve as a Diamond Sales Expert at the Chicago showroom, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the customer journey. Your primary focus is building strong customer relationships and creating memorable experiences for significant life milestones. You will conduct personalized consultations showcasing VRAI's sustainably created diamonds and jewelry collections, educate clients on diamond quality and care, and guide them through the selection process. You are responsible for closing sales, managing your lead pipeline, and nurturing prospects through both virtual and in-person channels.
Key responsibilities include maintaining a calendar of virtual and in-person appointments, acting as a brand ambassador for VRAI's values and sustainability mission, assisting with jewelry selection and company policies (returns, upgrades, resizes), and collaborating with showroom and virtual sales team members on clienteling and custom design projects. You will also work cross-functionally with the broader sales, marketing, and product teams to share customer insights, gather product feedback, and support product launches, in-store events, press days, activations, and influencer hosting.
This is a showroom-based role requiring full-time commitment with mandatory availability every Saturday and Sunday. You will work alongside high-performing luxury sales professionals delivering first-in-class service in both remote and in-showroom settings.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven ability to close sales in high-volume e-commerce or retail environments; mandatory history of selling diamonds is required
- Strong background in jewelry; Certified Gemologist credentials from a reputable institution are highly preferred
- Independent, motivated, and well-organized with exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills
- Compassionate, positive, and patient "people-person" who is highly technologically savvy
- Full commitment to non-traditional schedule; must be available to work every Saturday and Sunday
- Physical requirements: ability to sit, stand for long periods, walk, grasp, reach, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive motions
