EVERSANA is seeking a Diagnostic Specialist to serve as a field-based diagnostic leader in the New York City and Long Island region. This role is responsible for educating healthcare providers on genetic testing initiatives and programs, with a focus on inherited retinal diseases (IRD). The Diagnostic Specialist will establish deep diagnostic expertise aligned with global diagnostic strategy for the assigned U.S. region.
Key responsibilities include:
**Genotyping & Diagnostic Leadership**: Educate healthcare providers on genetic testing to execute client efforts in raising awareness of sponsored testing programs. Identify educational needs within the IRD healthcare community and provide education on genetic labs performing high-quality gene analysis with appropriate IRD panels and accurate interpretation of results.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Partner compliantly with cross-functional teams within the client organization and contribute to ongoing development and implementation of U.S. diagnostic strategy.
**Stakeholder Education, Training & Advocacy**: Identify potential Genetic Testing Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) with educational needs, providing awareness to healthcare providers. Attend conferences to learn and understand diagnostic programs. Participate in advocacy, outreach, and engagement with local organizations where compliant. Deliver high-quality education and provide insights to inform strategy. Educate HCPs and associated internal partner labs for seamless sponsored testing utilization.
The role requires extensive travel via various modes of transportation (car, plane, train) and comfort working with modern electronic hardware and AI tools including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and Grok.
Minimum qualifications include a BA/BS (healthcare degree strongly preferred such as MS, RN, PA, PharmD, PhD), 7+ years of pharma/biotech experience in commercial, clinical/medical, or diagnostics, and proven success in high-performing diverse teams. Prior experience in rare or ultra-rare diseases with strong patient focus is preferred, as is knowledge of ophthalmology. The ideal candidate demonstrates strategic thinking, operational capability, excellent communication and presentation skills, and strong ethical standards.
