EVERSANA is seeking a Diagnostic Specialist to serve as a field-based diagnostic leader responsible for educating healthcare providers on genetic testing initiatives and programs across the Appalachia region (St. Louis, Indianapolis, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Atlanta). This role requires living in close proximity to a major airport hub. The Diagnostic Specialist will establish deep diagnostic expertise aligned with global diagnostic strategy for the assigned U.S. region. Primary responsibilities include: **Genotyping & Diagnostic Leadership:** Educate healthcare providers on genetic testing to execute client efforts raising awareness of sponsored testing programs. Identify educational needs within the inherited retinal disease (IRD) healthcare community and provide education on genetic labs performing high-quality gene analysis with appropriate IRD panels and accurate result interpretation. **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner compliantly with cross-functional teams within client organizations and contribute to ongoing development and implementation of U.S. diagnostic strategy. **Stakeholder Education & Advocacy:** Identify potential Genetic Testing Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) with educational needs, providing awareness to healthcare providers. Attend conferences to learn diagnostic programs and testing. Participate in compliant advocacy, outreach, and engagement with local organizations. Deliver high-quality education and insights to inform strategy. Educate HCPs and internal partner labs for seamless sponsored testing utilization. Provide expertise on IRD gene panels and best practices for test requisition forms. The role requires extensive travel via car, plane, and train. Candidates should be comfortable with modern electronic hardware and AI tools including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and similar platforms. **Requirements:** BA/BS required; healthcare degree strongly preferred (MS, RN, PA, PharmD, PhD). Minimum 7+ years pharma/biotech experience in commercial, clinical/medical, or diagnostics. Proven success in high-performing diverse teams. Experience collaborating with KOLs, labs, and stakeholders. Prior rare or ultra-rare disease experience with strong patient focus preferred. Diagnostic and scientific acumen, strategic thinking, operational capability, and ability to succeed in matrixed environments essential. Strong communication, presentation skills, and ethical standards required. Knowledge of ophthalmology strongly preferred.
