Akuity is seeking a Developer Relations Engineer to bridge the gap between the company and its developer community. This hybrid technical role combines software engineering expertise with developer advocacy, focusing on driving product adoption and improving the developer experience.
You will create technical content including code samples, SDKs, demos, tutorials, documentation, and blog posts to help developers use Akuity's GitOps platform. You'll actively engage with the developer community through online forums, social media, and community channels, answering questions, providing support, and gathering feedback to inform product improvements.
As a technical point of contact for external developers, you'll help resolve technical issues and provide guidance. You'll represent Akuity at developer conferences, meetups, and workshops, potentially helping to organize these events. Collaboration with internal product and engineering teams is essential—you'll relay developer feedback and contribute to improving the overall developer experience and tools. You'll also evangelize Akuity's technology by presenting its value and capabilities to the broader developer community.

QUALIFICATIONS (Must Have):
- Strong background in software development to build credible demos and understand developer workflows
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating content, giving presentations, and interacting with the community
- Empathy and ability to understand and relate to the challenges and needs of other developers
- Strong problem-solving abilities to help developers overcome technical hurdles
- Passion for building and nurturing relationships with developers and contributing to open-source communities
