PDI Technologies is seeking a DevOps Engineer II to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure and CI/CD solutions supporting global convenience retail and petroleum brands. This is a hands-on technical role requiring independent problem-solving and collaboration with engineering teams.
Key responsibilities include:
**CI/CD & Deployment**: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Configure automated build, test, packaging, and deployment workflows. Integrate quality gates including unit testing, code-quality checks, and security scanning. Troubleshoot pipeline failures and identify automation opportunities to reduce manual deployment work.
**AWS Cloud Infrastructure**: Provision and support AWS infrastructure including EC2, ECS, EKS, IAM, VPC, ALB, S3, RDS, Route 53, and CloudWatch. Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, IAM, DNS, and application connectivity issues across multiple environments. Ensure compliance with cloud architecture, security, and operational standards.
**Infrastructure as Code**: Develop and maintain Terraform modules and configurations. Modify existing IaC for new requirements. Troubleshoot Terraform plan/apply failures. Participate in peer reviews and follow established standards.
**Automation & Configuration Management**: Develop Ansible playbooks for server configuration and application deployment. Automate operational tasks using Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Identify and eliminate repetitive manual work.
**Containers & Kubernetes**: Build and troubleshoot Docker containers. Deploy and support applications on Kubernetes/EKS. Work with Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress, and persistent storage. Use Helm charts for application deployment.
**Monitoring & Troubleshooting**: Monitor infrastructure and application health using Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch. Investigate alerts, participate in root cause analysis, and recommend permanent fixes. Support on-call rotation as needed.
**Platform Enablement**: Support engineering teams in adopting DevOps standards. Contribute to reusable CI/CD and infrastructure solutions. Document runbooks and share technical knowledge.
Required qualifications: 3–5 years DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or SRE experience. Hands-on AWS, Terraform, CI/CD pipeline, Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Git, and scripting (PowerShell/Bash/Python) experience. Linux/Windows administration knowledge. Understanding of networking (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancers, security groups, VPCs, routing). Independent troubleshooting ability.
Preferred: AWS EKS/ECS/Fargate, GitOps (Argo CD), SonarQube/Trivy, observability platforms, Windows and Linux support, relevant certifications, Agile/Scrum experience.
