Anthropic is seeking a Developer Relations Manager to lead the team responsible for how developers discover, onboard, build, and scale applications using the Claude Platform. This is a strategic leadership role that will shape Anthropic's developer ecosystem and market position while ensuring responsible AI use.
In this role, you will set the vision and strategy for growing Claude Platform's developer community. You'll build and execute strategies for developer discovery and integration growth, create educational content for high-quality integrations, and collaborate with product and engineering leadership to ensure developer feedback informs the roadmap. You'll prioritize initiatives based on data, feedback, and the needs of both developers and the business.
You will pioneer what world-class developer relations looks like in the rapidly evolving AI space. This includes recruiting, inspiring, and scaling a high-impact developer relations team with global reach and representation across key markets. You'll foster a collaborative culture aligned with Anthropic's values, create scalable processes that evolve with team and ecosystem growth, and establish clear growth paths for team members.
Cross-functional leadership is central to the role. You'll act as an advocate for Claude Platform developer needs, translating developer feedback into strategic initiatives. You'll collaborate with Research to translate AI capabilities into accessible educational resources, partner with Communications and Marketing to amplify developer success stories, and ensure best practices for responsible AI use are adopted by developers building on the platform.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualifications:
- Experience building and leading developer relations, developer experience, or technical product teams with a proven track record of measurably growing developer ecosystems
- Technical credibility: understand AI/ML and API concepts and translate complex technical ideas for various audiences from individual developers to enterprise executives
- Hands-on technical abilities: capable of creating code demos, critically reviewing developer content for quality and best practices, and providing specific technical feedback
- Insight into developer psychology and behavior: know how to reach developers through the right channels, build authentic affinity for products, and design education programs that drive meaningful adoption
- Passionate about AI's potential and deeply committed to ensuring it's developed responsibly, with genuine interest in AI safety and ethical considerations
- Collaborative leader who can influence across teams without direct authority, building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience scaling teams in high-growth environments and adapting quickly as priorities evolve
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- Field of study relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working specifically with AI developer platforms
- Public speaking experience at industry conferences and events
- Content creation experience (technical writing, video tutorials, etc.)
