As a Developer Advocate, you will play a core role in improving the developer experience, particularly through documentation and example projects. You'll identify where users encounter friction and ship solutions to help them succeed. A significant part of your work involves driving acquisition of technical, self-serve customers by creating and presenting engaging content online and at developer events globally—including meetups and conferences. This role combines technical depth with community engagement, requiring someone who thrives connecting with developers face-to-face while producing high-quality technical content.
Key responsibilities include:
- Attending, organizing, and speaking at developer events worldwide
- Creating compelling technical content including tutorials, demos, blog posts, videos, and talks
- Tailoring messaging for different audiences and building networks with developers, startup accelerators, and VCs
- Taking a product-minded approach to content: understanding metrics, speaking to users, deciding what to build based on needs, and iterating on what works
- Improving documentation and example projects based on user feedback
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong full-stack engineering skillset with extensive experience working with AI tools
- Passion for attending, organizing, and speaking at developer events
- Ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and build strong networks with developers, startup accelerators, and VCs
- Demonstrated ability to create great ideas for tutorials, build working demos, and produce high-quality blog posts, videos, and talks
- Strong technical writing skills and passion for engaging content
- Product-minded approach: understanding metrics, user research, prioritization based on needs, and data-driven iteration
