Everlane is seeking a Menswear Designer to join its product-focused design team in Los Angeles. You will report to the Director of Design and take ownership of designing and developing menswear products including shirting, knitwear, casual and tailored bottoms, and technical/tailored outerwear. The role emphasizes Everlane's brand ethos of purity, simplicity, and timelessness—creating essential wardrobe pieces through rigorous editing and attention to detail.
Day-to-day responsibilities include initiating designs with thorough research and inspiration gathering, hand-sketching initial concepts and computer-sketching final designs, creating detailed technical packages with meticulous attention to construction, and collaborating with product development, merchandising, raw materials, and production teams. You will review samples, attend fittings, and ensure optimal product development across all phases. The role also involves preparing presentations for milestone meetings and building seasonal product knowledge to drive business forward.
You should have 3–5 years of experience in a similar design role with strong technical knowledge of menswear premium construction. A Bachelor's degree in Fashion or a closely related design field is required. Proficiency in design tools such as AI, CLO, and Procreate is preferred. The ideal candidate combines great taste and a strong understanding of casual chic with an entrepreneurial mindset, solution-oriented approach, and passion for collaborative, diverse teamwork dedicated to sustainability and consumer benefit.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based at Everlane's Los Angeles headquarters in the Art District. The schedule requires at least three days in the office per week (Tuesdays–Thursdays), with flexibility to five days when needed for product team initiatives. A portfolio or website is strongly encouraged with your application.
