Fluidstack is building civilization-scale AI compute infrastructure, acquiring power, designing and operating data centers at unprecedented speed and scale. The Modular team transforms first-of-a-kind data center designs into repeatable, factory-built units.
As a Designer & Detailer, you will produce detailed mechanical and structural models and drawings that factories build from directly—structures, skids, piping systems, and assemblies detailed to the weld and bolt level with zero ambiguity. Your responsibilities include:
• Create fabrication-ready mechanical and structural models and drawing packages for steel structures, skids, piping, and assemblies
• Detail systems to fabrication level with all connections, penetrations, pipe spools, and BOM-linked parts fully specified
• Incorporate weld symbols, bolt callouts, and dimensions that fitters need without requiring clarification calls
• Manage rapid engineering changes, turning updates into released drawing packages within days while maintaining clean revision control
• Establish and enforce modeling standards, part libraries, and templates that accelerate subsequent unit detailing and reduce errors
• Own model hygiene and documentation discipline under high-pressure, fast-moving conditions
You bring hands-on experience detailing for fabrication in fab shops, skid builders, or modular manufacturing environments. Your drawings have been built without callbacks because they include everything fabricators actually need. You understand how things get made—welds, bends, tolerances, clearances—and have been red-lined enough times to know what's missing. You maintain library discipline and handle revision storms without creating version chaos. Experience with Tekla, Advance Steel, Revit, Plant 3D, AWS weld symbols, AISC standards, or BIM coordination is a plus.
