Fluidstack is building civilization-scale AI compute infrastructure, acquiring power, designing and operating data centers at gigawatt scale. The Modular team is transitioning from site-built to factory-produced data center modules—standardized, repeatable, and rapidly deployable.
In this role, you'll own the detailed electrical and controls design packages that fabricators and electricians build from directly. Your deliverables include panel layouts, raceway and cable tray runs, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, terminations, and BOM-linked parts—all detailed to installation level with zero ambiguity. You'll produce drawings so clear that shops order and build straight from the package without field interpretation or callbacks.
Key responsibilities:
- Create detailed electrical and controls models and drawings (panels, raceway, cable schedules, terminations) at fabrication-ready quality
- Detail to installation level: conduit runs, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and parts lists accurate enough for direct shop ordering
- Turn engineering changes into updated, released packages within days while maintaining clean revision control
- Own model cleanliness: build and maintain standards, symbol libraries, and templates that accelerate each successive unit
- Close drawing issues at the root by fixing templates and standards, not just individual sheets
- Ensure shops and electricians build from your drawings without callbacks; when they do call, improve the standard so it never happens again
You've detailed electrical or controls packages for fabrication, panel shops, UL 508A builders, or industrial automation integrators. You live in electrical CAD (AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN preferred), producing wiring diagrams and cable schedules daily. You understand real-world installation: bend radii, terminations, clearances electricians need. You model to standards, maintain library discipline, and handle revision storms without version chaos. Bonus experience: plant and BIM modeling (Revit, Plant 3D), panel and wiring standards, BIM coordination.
