Figma is seeking a Design Program Manager, AI Evals to lead the operational infrastructure supporting the company's design evaluation programs. This role owns the end-to-end contractor and vendor operations, program rhythms, and quality standards that enable rapid and rigorous assessment of AI-generated design output. You will serve as a close operating partner to Figma's Design Director for AI Research, working cross-functionally with design and technical program management teams. Your responsibilities span the full lifecycle: hiring and enabling design contractors, managing vendor logistics and budgets, maintaining eval workstreams, and establishing quality benchmarks. You'll drive velocity and quality across the design eval pipeline by running annotation rhythms, raising calibration standards, and translating eval output into actionable product decisions. Key responsibilities include: owning contractor hiring end-to-end (sourcing, screening, closing); managing vendor logistics including budgets, SOWs, contracts, and procurement coordination; running day-to-day program management for contractors and eval workstreams; setting standards for high-quality reference designs; partnering with model designers to review eval output and maintain quality bars; and identifying automation opportunities to reduce operational overhead. You should have deep design craft expertise—able to speak credibly to UI judgment, coach others on design quality, and translate design principles into consistent evaluation standards. The role requires 3+ years in design program management, DesignOps, or adjacent design roles, with proven experience procuring and managing design contractors or third-party vendors. Strong project management, written communication, and cross-timezone coordination skills are essential. Preferred qualifications include hands-on familiarity with Figma's product (auto layout, variables, components, Slides), experience orchestrating AI tools and workflow automations, and prior participation in design eval or quality review programs.
