Havenly, the country's leading interior design service founded in 2014, is expanding its Interior Define Studio in Soho, NYC. We're seeking a sales-driven Design Expert to deliver high-end, personalized customer experiences while driving sales growth in our retail studio environment.
You will own the complete customer journey from initial inquiry through purchase execution. Your responsibilities include meeting and exceeding monthly sales quotas, conducting in-store and virtual client consultations on furniture selections and design choices, and leading the entire sales process with a consultative approach. You'll develop spatial planning and design mood boards using 2D/3D design software, master product expertise across our custom furniture offerings, and maintain proactive post-purchase communication to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. Additionally, you'll act as a brand ambassador to cultivate community presence in NYC and identify opportunities to enhance sales and customer experience within the studio.
The role involves standing, bending, and maneuvering in the studio to assist clients and arrange product displays, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Standard retail hours including weekend availability are required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in furniture or interior design
- Experience in the interior design and/or home furnishings industry
- Ability to create mood boards and floor plans for clients
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Proficiency with Canva, interior design floor planning software, and Google Suite
- CRM experience preferred
- Tech-savvy and comfortable adapting to new platforms
- Strong eye for aesthetics and knowledge of current interior design trends
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Customer-centric mindset with ability to create memorable experiences
