Wispr AI is building a voice interface product (Flow) that has scaled from $2M to $50M ARR in under 12 months with millions of users and thousands of enterprise customers. The company is designing the next generation of human-computer interaction centered on voice-first paradigms.
As a Design Engineer for Mobile, you will be responsible for designing and building interfaces for voice-first interactions across iOS, Android, CarPlay, Apple Watch, and emerging platforms. You'll work at the intersection of design and engineering, inventing new interaction paradigms that make voice interfaces feel natural and delightful. The role involves close collaboration with product engineers, designers, and founders (Tanay and Sahaj) who are obsessed with getting details perfect.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design interfaces for voice-first interactions across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, CarPlay, Apple Watch, and more)
- Serve as an influential voice in product roadmap direction
- Build new interaction paradigms leveraging frontier AI models for next-generation human-computer interaction
- Create design systems that enable the entire company to ship better UI/UX
- Conduct customer research, observe user behavior, and iterate obsessively on product improvements
You should have strong opinions about what makes interfaces feel right, an eye for pixel-perfect details, and a deep commitment to understanding users and their emotional journeys. You notice when something is off and would be embarrassed to ship a non-seamless experience. You look at existing interfaces and immediately see how to improve them.
