Vega is a fast-growing cybersecurity startup building an AI-native platform for security operations centers (SOCs). The company is redefining security analytics and operations with a next-generation OS for security teams, already deployed at major global organizations. As Design Engineer, you will own vega.io end-to-end—from design through production deployment. You'll be the bridge between design and engineering, responsible for landing pages, blog infrastructure, interactive experiences, and the component library that enables the entire team to move fast without compromising visual quality. You'll work within Vega's in-house creative studio alongside brand and motion designers. This is not a role where you implement designs created by others; instead, you'll design and build collaboratively, shaping how the brand appears on the web. You'll co-own BrandOS, the living design system, ensuring brand consistency and scalability across all digital surfaces. Key responsibilities include: - Own vega.io end-to-end: design, build, ship, and iterate - Build and maintain the component library and living design system (BrandOS) in collaboration with designers - Manage and evolve content through the CMS (Directus), partnering with marketing and content teams - Translate brand direction into interactive web experiences: scroll-driven storytelling, ROI calculators, product tours, campaign microsites - Bring motion to the site through subtle interactions, micro-animations, and larger moments - Own deployments via Git and Vercel, ensuring the site is fast, accessible, and production-ready - Help define how design and web engineering scale together as the function grows You'll work in Astro, ship to production yourself, and partner closely with content and marketing teams. This role sits at the intersection of design and engineering—ideal for someone who thrives where these disciplines meet.
