As a Design Engineer, you'll bridge design and engineering to create intuitive interfaces for AI-assisted developer workflows. This is a hands-on role where you'll both design and implement product experiences end-to-end, working closely with engineers to bring new interaction patterns to life.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing Greptile's brand identity—creating something iconic, distinctive, and unmistakably aligned with the company's mission
- Inventing entirely new interfaces for AI workflows that don't yet have established patterns
- Designing and shipping complete product experiences alongside the engineering team
- Prototyping and iterating on interactions that move beyond traditional UI, with obsessive attention to motion, interaction quality, and craft
- Making complex technical workflows feel effortless and intuitive for developers
You'll need 2-4+ years of experience, strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills, and exceptional product taste. Critically, you must have a strong understanding of implementation—you build what you design. You're comfortable in close collaboration with engineers and thrive with high ownership and fast execution.
