Antimetal is building the future of infrastructure management—a platform that investigates, resolves, and prevents infrastructure issues, giving engineers time back to focus on building great products.
As a Design Engineer, you'll own the complete design-to-production pipeline for Antimetal's platform. You'll bridge design and engineering, taking rough sketches through to pixel-perfect, production-ready interfaces. Your responsibilities include:
- Owning the design system across Figma and code (React, Tailwind), ensuring it remains robust and scalable as the product evolves.
- Shipping pixel-perfect interfaces with strong CSS expertise, including animations and transitions.
- Partnering closely with design and engineering teams to move ideas from concept to production.
- Raising the bar on front-end architecture, best practices, and performance optimization.
- Defining new interaction patterns for AI-driven tools, shaping how users interact with intelligent infrastructure management features.
You should have strong proficiency in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, with a solid grasp of modern front-end architecture, state management patterns, and performance optimization. You care deeply about visual detail, motion, and making interfaces feel precise and intentional. You're equally comfortable prototyping in Figma, code, or AI tools—whatever gets you to signal fastest.
Bonus skills include GSAP, R3F, Three.js, WebGL, or infrastructure domain knowledge. You thrive in fast-moving startup environments, iterate quickly, test ideas relentlessly, and push toward outcomes. You identify as a builder and are excited to work in-person from Antimetal's new office in New York.
The company offers competitive salary with generous equity, full health/dental/vision coverage, retirement benefits, unlimited PTO, dinner on late nights, fitness stipend, equipment support, and commute perks (Citi Bike + transit).
