Salary: USD 292,500 - 336,500 / annual

Spring Health is a global mental health platform on a mission to eliminate barriers to mental health care. The company operates an AI-native platform delivering personalized support across self-guided tools, coaching, therapy, medication management, and specialty care, reaching over 170 million people through employers, health plans, and partners. As Deputy Chief Medical Officer reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, you will lead the Medical Affairs team and drive clinical quality improvement across the organization. Key responsibilities include supporting the evolution of core clinical programs, leading execution and quality improvement of medication management capabilities, ensuring ethical and safe AI integration into care delivery, serving as a clinical representative with external stakeholders (health plans, employers, customers), and acting as a senior change leader on strategic initiatives. You will work to steadily improve clinical outcomes, ensure right care at the right time for the right person, maintain consistent quality improvement across key metrics, improve care delivery efficiency while maintaining outcomes, and drive high customer satisfaction. Required qualifications: Board-certified psychiatrist (MD/DO) with 15+ years of clinical care experience and 10+ years of leadership experience in mental health care (clinics, providers, care operations). You must demonstrate strong ability to manage and influence senior leaders internally and externally, proven cross-functional leadership at VP or senior level in high-growth organizations, strong people-leadership ability, systems thinking to translate clinical nuance into scalable processes, hands-on problem-solving at all levels, balance of clinical rigor with pragmatism in fast-moving environments, and comfort with ambiguity and accountability. Nice-to-have qualifications include 5+ years leading care activities and guiding digital mental health product design, strong understanding of psychotherapy modalities, expertise in measurement-based care implementation at scale, and familiarity with AI enablement tools and change management methodologies. This is a remote position with expected travel once monthly for company and external meetings.
