Revolut is seeking a Deputy Branch Manager to support operations and compliance at its Romania branch. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will oversee daily branch activities, ensure adherence to local regulations and internal policies, and manage payment operations including ReGIS, SENT, and SWIFT systems. You'll coordinate with regulatory bodies (National Bank, Transfond) and represent the branch to clients, suppliers, and authorities.
Key responsibilities include: supporting team management and performance objectives; ensuring compliance with risk management and internal control standards; executing scaled operations across cross-functional teams; managing payment systems and branch compliance; and contributing to the implementation of Revolut's banking strategy at the local level.
You'll need at least 9 years in fast-paced environments (ideally banking/financial services or management consulting in Romania) with 5+ years in a managerial banking or financial services role. Required qualifications include a 2:1 degree in finance, economics, or business from a top university; extensive knowledge of strategic planning, accounting/auditing, and complex regulatory frameworks; proven ability to interpret financial data and evaluate risk management systems; and fluency in English and Romanian with familiarity of Romanian, EU, and applicable banking laws.
Nice-to-have traits include entrepreneurial mindset, understanding of retail banking and competitive landscape, track record of building/growing businesses and delivering high-impact projects, and ability to manage competing priorities.
