Kaizen Labs is a government technology company founded in 2022 that replaces legacy federal systems with modern software. The company has raised $35M from top-tier VCs (NEA, a16z, Accel) and is headquartered in New York City and DC. This year revenue grew 35x, and next year the software will serve over 100 million Americans across dozens of federal agencies. As Deployment Strategist, you will own the complete implementation lifecycle for Kaizen's federal customers. This includes discovery and scoping, platform configuration, data migration, integrations, staff training, go-live execution, and post-launch support. You will work directly inside classified and accredited environments where data-handling constraints are design inputs, not obstacles. You'll translate field patterns and edge cases back to Product and Engineering, ensuring what ships matches what was promised. You'll build playbooks, templates, and internal documentation to accelerate future deployments. You'll also guide public sector partners through change management as they transition from legacy systems. Key responsibilities include owning end-to-end federal implementations with multi-stakeholder coordination, leading agency onboarding and translating actual needs into viable rollout plans, working within classification and compliance constraints while partnering closely with engineering, acting as connective tissue between customer-facing implementation and engineering teams, and building the processes and documentation that make subsequent deployments faster. This is a hybrid role based in New York. Candidates must reside in New York or be able to commute to NYC at least four times per week (Monday–Thursday). REQUIREMENTS: - 3+ years in SaaS implementation, onboarding, solutions engineering, or product-adjacent delivery roles (Implementation Consultant, Solutions Architect, Technical Program Manager), with a track record of owning multi-stakeholder rollouts - Technical fluency: comfortable with APIs, data models, and system configurations; able to discuss integration tradeoffs with engineers - Experience translating customer requirements into implementation plans and technical workflows - Comfort operating inside classified or accredited environments, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new compliance and data-handling constraints - Bias toward action: preference for building processes while running deployments rather than waiting for established playbooks STRONG CANDIDATES MAY ALSO HAVE: - Prior experience deploying software in classified or accredited environments - Federal, state, or local government implementation experience (versus enterprise SaaS generally) - Experience building implementation playbooks or internal tooling from scratch at early-stage companies
