Flow is a systems engineering platform used by leading hardware companies (e.g., Rivian) to centralize requirements, interfaces, tests, and design decisions. As one of the first Deployment Strategists, you will own the end-to-end deployment and adoption process for a portfolio of customer accounts, turning signed deals into sustained, organization-wide usage.
Your responsibilities include:
- Running deployments end-to-end: kickoff, data migration from legacy tools and spreadsheets, Flow configuration tailored to each customer's program structure, workflow redesign with systems engineers, team training, and change management to drive adoption across skeptical teams
- Driving organizational change within customer engineering organizations by identifying champions, removing blockers, and ensuring adoption persists after you transition off the account
- Defining success metrics for each deployment, instrumenting adoption tracking, diagnosing stalls, and executing get-well plans before renewal risk emerges
- Designing each customer's Flow setup around their specific programs and directing integration work with Flow's software-focused deployment engineers
- Serving as the product team's field intelligence: insights from deployments directly inform product roadmap decisions
- Partnering with sales representatives and account executives to identify expansion opportunities and manage the commercial relationship
- Building the deployment methodology: creating playbooks, implementation guides, and training materials that scale the function as the team grows
You are consultative by nature, diagnosing before prescribing and building trust quickly, including with skeptics. You have demonstrated success making organizational change stick and can tell that story. You are technically fluent enough to hold your own with systems and hardware engineers while translating between technical and executive perspectives. You excel at running complex, multi-team rollouts with clear planning, milestones, stakeholder management, and crisp communication. You are comfortable with technical fundamentals: data migration, configuration, and APIs at a working level. You thrive in early-stage environments with ambiguity and ownership, and you are based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco area for in-person collaboration.
Critical requirement: You have owned customer-facing relationships professionally—whether in pre-sales, post-sales, deployment, consulting, or customer-facing engineering roles.
