OpenAI is seeking a senior individual contributor to shape and execute complex, high-impact commercial opportunities in the Americas. You will serve as an embedded strategic partner to AMER account teams, focusing on high-value, complex, and first-of-kind deals. Working directly with sellers and cross-functional partners, you will lead deal strategy, structuring, value narratives, negotiations, and business cases through to contractual closure. Key responsibilities include partnering with AMER account teams on strategic opportunities from initial strategy through proposal, negotiation, and closure. You will develop comprehensive deal strategies that integrate customer priorities, commercial considerations, competitive positioning, and OpenAI's business objectives. You will create executive- and CFO-ready proposals, ROI analyses, value narratives, and business cases for complex or first-of-kind deals, and support critical customer and executive conversations with recommendations and rationale. You will build and maintain practical ROI frameworks, calculators, proposal templates, and value narratives for field teams. You will contribute to scalable deal-support mechanisms including negotiation playbooks, deal clinics, office hours, and structured intake processes. Partnering with Pricing, Deal Desk, Finance, Product, Legal, Revenue Operations, Enablement, and Strategy, you will ensure deal recommendations reflect current products, commercial guidance, and business priorities. You will translate lessons from strategic deals into reusable resources that improve speed, consistency, and seller productivity. You will apply AI to improve deal workflows and scalability through automated deal briefs, knowledge retrieval, guided proposal development, and self-service resources. You will identify recurring themes across strategic deals and share insights that inform future commercial approaches, field motions, products, and policies. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in deal strategy, strategic sales, strategic pricing, commercial strategy, or related functions. You have experience partnering directly with sales teams on highly complex, high-value, or first-of-kind opportunities, and a track record of developing deal strategies, proposals, ROI models, or business cases that advanced commercial outcomes. You possess strong communication and storytelling skills, financial and analytical rigor, and experience working across Sales, Finance, Product, Legal, Pricing, and Operations. You bring strong judgment, a collaborative hands-on approach, and familiarity with using AI to improve workflows and scale expertise.
