Twilio is seeking a Deal Desk Financial Analyst to support the North American Go-to-Market motion. This role sits at the intersection of finance, sales, legal, and operations, focusing on evaluating, structuring, and executing non-standard commercial agreements while maintaining financial governance and margin optimization.
Key responsibilities include analyzing deal economics for both standard and non-standard agreements, evaluating pricing, discounting, term length, usage commitments, and gross margin impact. You will partner closely with the Sales team to structure commercially sound deals by analyzing tradeoffs across price, volume, and risk, ensuring alignment with Twilio's financial guardrails. The role requires building, maintaining, and reviewing financial models and pricing scenarios to support non-standard deal requests and senior leadership decisions.
Operationally, you will own the end-to-end Deal Desk workflow in Salesforce/CPQ, managing quote building, pricing approvals, Order Form creation, DocuSign execution, and opportunity closure while ensuring 100% data integrity and policy compliance. You'll establish trusted working relationships across Commercial Legal, Billing Operations, Corporate Finance, and Sales to streamline deal velocity, particularly during high-volume month- and quarter-end peaks.
Additionally, you will act as a guardrail and educator for Sales and GTM teams, ensuring adherence to internal contracting policies, approval matrices, and discount governance. You'll collaborate with Sales and Legal to review and structure non-standard contract language, ensuring alignment with corporate risk and revenue recognition policies. Finally, you'll surface recurring deal patterns, approval exceptions, and operational friction points to contribute to continuous improvement of Deal Desk workflows and system efficiencies.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or Associate's Degree plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or an analytical GTM/Deal Desk role (or 7 years of relevant analytical experience without a degree). You must demonstrate strong analytical and financial skills with a firm understanding of core financial concepts and the ability to explain financial tradeoffs clearly. Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills are essential.
