Speak is an AI-powered language learning platform that has achieved product-market fit and is one of the world's leading AI companies with over $150M in venture funding from OpenAI, Accel, Founders Fund, and Khosla Ventures. The company operates across 40+ countries with dedicated offices in San Francisco, Ljubljana, Seoul, Tokyo, and Taipei.
As a Customer Success Manager on the Speak for Business (S4B) team in Korea, you will own a portfolio of direct B2B customers and serve as their trusted partner to ensure their English learning programs succeed. Korea is Speak's largest and most mature B2B market, with customers including some of the country's best-known companies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own and manage a portfolio of direct B2B accounts, driving renewal, retention, and learner engagement
- Onboard new customers and their admins, launching programs quickly and activating learners in the first weeks
- Proactively monitor usage data to identify at-risk accounts and low-engagement cohorts, running targeted interventions
- Deliver data-backed business reviews demonstrating ROI and next steps to customers
- Partner with Marketing on engagement campaigns and challenges to lift activation and weekly active use
- Identify expansion opportunities (new teams, use cases, additional seats) and collaborate with Sales to pursue them
- Serve as the customer voice internally, communicating product gaps and recurring pain points to Product and Engineering
- Maintain accurate account, renewal, and activity records in HubSpot for reliable team forecasting
This is a hands-on individual contributor role on a small, fast-moving team. You'll inherit proven playbooks and have genuine room to grow into strategic accounts and senior scope as the team scales. You'll work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years in Customer Success or Account Management in B2B SaaS, with your own book of business and demonstrated results in retention and engagement
- Native or near-native fluency in Korean and business proficiency in English
- Comfort with data: ability to pull usage numbers, identify insights, and translate them into actionable customer recommendations
- Strong customer communication skills, including ability to run quarterly business reviews with corporate stakeholders and handle difficult customer situations
- Reliable execution across multiple accounts simultaneously, with sound judgment on escalation vs. self-resolution
- Builder's mindset: you improve processes rather than work around them
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience in EdTech, HR tech, or Korean corporate training landscape
- Familiarity with CRM and customer success platforms (HubSpot, etc.)
- Background at a fast-growth startup or early-stage team
- Cross-functional experience with Sales, Marketing, and Product
- Personal language learning experience
