Nango (YC W23) is a developer-tools company that connects AI agents to 1,000+ APIs, enabling them to act and learn. The company has 700+ paying customers including ServiceNow, Monday, Replit, and Ramp, and is backed by a 14-person team with experience from AWS, GitHub, Okta, Snyk, Netlify, Uber, Samsara, Workato, and other leading tech companies.
You will be the founding Customer Success Manager, building Nango's customer success function from the ground up. This is a high-impact role where you'll work closely with the founders and largest accounts while developing scalable processes to support the broader 700+ customer base.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with developers, product leaders, and decision-makers at key accounts
- Understand customer use cases and help them extract maximum value from Nango's platform
- Identify expansion opportunities: new use cases, teams, and integrations that drive account growth
- Own the full renewal and expansion lifecycle, from planning through close
- Monitor customer health and adoption gaps using product usage data and direct conversations
- Partner with Engineering to unblock customers and incorporate feedback into the product roadmap
- Develop playbooks and outreach strategies that enable efficient support of 700+ customers
- Track and report on customer health, retention, and growth metrics as you establish the function
This role combines strategic account management with the opportunity to define processes and best practices for a growing company. You'll report directly to the founders and have significant influence over how customer success scales at Nango.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience growing customer relationships at a developer tools, infrastructure, or technical SaaS company
- Track record of owning renewals and expansion with measurable results
- Comfort discussing APIs, integrations, and technical use cases with developers
- Ability to build trust with both hands-on technical users and executive buyers
- Skill at connecting customer goals with product adoption and commercial opportunities
- Strong organizational skills, proactive mindset, and strategic time management
- Preference for defining playbooks and processes rather than following established ones
