The company delivers geospatial intelligence via a cloud platform to commercial, environmental, and humanitarian sectors globally. As Customer Success Manager for Civil Government, you will own relationships with public sector entities across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa—including national governments, regional authorities, municipalities, and supranational organizations like space agencies and UN programmes. You'll ensure customers maximize value from Planet's imagery and geospatial solutions for applications including environmental monitoring, emergency response, land management, maritime surveillance, and sustainable development. Key responsibilities include managing gross and net retention metrics across your book of business, partnering with Account Executives on unified account strategies, mapping long-term account trajectories to identify risks and expansion opportunities, co-creating success plans and quarterly business reviews, building relationships across complex stakeholder networks, leading cross-functional teams through critical milestones, and navigating high-stakes situations with sound judgment. You'll need 4+ years in Customer Success, account management, or similar customer-facing roles ideally supporting government organizations. A Bachelor's degree is required. Strong knowledge of remote sensing, GIS, or geospatial imagery products is essential, along with the ability to bridge technical workflows with commercial value. You must be comfortable working closely with sales organizations, understand commercial business models, and act as a consultative partner. Excellent communication skills in Russian and English are required, with willingness to travel to connect with customers and internal teams.
