Adyen is a global fintech platform providing payments, data, and financial products for enterprise customers including Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. The Customer Risk Review team is seeking an experienced CDD (Customer Due Diligence) Risk Analyst with 3–6+ years of payments or financial services experience and expertise in financial economic crimes.
In this role, you will lead end-to-end CDD and EDD (Enhanced Due Diligence) reviews for high-risk or complex merchant portfolios, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards, SLAs, and global regulatory policies. You will drive rapid-response investigations into real-time adverse events, transaction anomalies, and financial crime triggers to mitigate integrity risks. Direct customer engagement is a key responsibility—you will request, verify, and update essential documentation and static data while providing expert advisory on due diligence requirements and resolving escalations.
You will harmonize review frameworks and risk-scoring models alongside regional and global risk teams to ensure consistent risk evaluation, and spearhead process improvements to scale risk operations and enhance detection capabilities. The role includes mentoring junior analysts on complex risk assessment techniques and best practices. You will apply professional judgment to evaluate non-binary risks, balancing business growth with robust risk mitigation, and assess multidisciplinary risks spanning Card Scheme/LPM violations, AML, Sanctions, Anti-Terrorist Financing, and Fraud.
